After programmed the new car plan for the next two years, Lifan has focused on matching its sedan with Euro IV Engine. As reporter learned from Lifan, in the middle of this month, Lifan has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ricardo, which is one of the most famous engine research institutions of UK, and is going to launch Lifan’s first self-made Euro IV Engine.
The general manager of Lifan Passenger Vehicle Sales Co. Hu Qi referred that, Ricardo is a professional consultive company of motorcar engineering such as engine and gear box research, and has been in tight cooperation with plenty of companies in the fields of gas engine system, concept design, industry design, and sample car correction etc... In this signed agreement, Lifan and Ricardo reach an consensus that the two parties shall construct an engine research team at the personnel proportion of 1:1, with the research object defined between 0.8L to 2.4L, or the Euro IV Engine and the bigger, otherwise, Lifan reserves the exclusive property rights.
As the initial project of the two parties, a 1.3L Euro IV Engine will be produced in Lifan’s factory. As released, which is going to ameliorate the sensor, fuel injection, and the gas system etc. of the traditional 1.3L one, and may reach Euro Ⅴ standard through simple upgrade.
