Recently, as Lifan released, following it 1.3L and 1.6L independence engine, Lifan had created the bigger 1.8L engine, which was also become the first China made VVT engine and was to be fixed in Lifan’s B-Class sedan and the latter coming vehicles.

At the beginning of Lifan’s auto project, Lifan applied itself to the research of the core engine, relying on the profuse experience of motorcycle engine research, Lifan invest huge money to establish a new 0.8L-2.4L engine factory. To assure the advantage of core technology, Lifan with RICARDO jointly tap engines by a cooperation pattern of 1:1 proportion, and pledge the independence and competitiveness of the products through drawing on advanced technic conception.

      Hu Qi said that along with the revolution of independent engine, Lifan, by right of innovation gene and strong research power, would not only stay independent, but also make itself an international brand and dominate the mastery of the sky.

      Lifan 1.8L engine cost Lifan two years of independent tapping, thus Lifan reserved the whole intellectual property. This engine’s model is B4L18, and adopting water-cooling four stroke, alterable valve technology and DOHC, with the maximum power of 100KW and maximum torque of 172N.m/r, which matched EuroⅢ standard as the first China made VVT engine and afford great effects on enhancing engine power and economy, and reducing exhaust.

      As the exports of the project released, this engine is full of the most advanced technology in the world and has a better design construction, especially on adoption of material which is new light-weighted material and hold a superior position in its field and can achieve Chinese national standard of year 2008 through simple technic upgrade. This engine is now under testing, and is to be produced in large number.

      Lifan’s 1.8L engine fetches up the chain of the industry of independent motor manufacturers, the experts said, that along with the revolution of independent engine, Lifan’s 1.8L engine made Chinese Auto more mature and independent.
